Annual Gering Arts Festival

The Gering Merchants Association is pleased to announce the 12th Annual Gering Arts Festival, to be held Saturday, June 9, in Gering's Legion Park. "We have an exciting line-up of local and regional artists, and some new performers that will really delight audiences of all ages this year” said chairwoman Lisa Betz.

Professional puppeteer Bob Aiken of Estes Park, Colorado, whose performance of Bruiser the Rag Dog was a huge hit last year, will be return. His show Puppet Variaia is slated for performance at 4 p.m. Bruiser the Ragdog will do two 45-minute walkabouts, at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. respectively, giving kids of all ages the opportunity to meet and talk to Bruiser.

Aside from the many booths featuring painters, sculptors, photographers and metalworkers, Gering's Legion Park will play host to the Los Guadalupanos Dancers, Prairie Friends, Green Valley Homesteaders, ACACIA and more.

Food vendors will be stationed in the park throughout the day. A sidewalk chalk art contest will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a grand prize award of $100 cash. All entertainment is free and open to the public. 

The 12th Annual Gering Arts Festival is sponsored by the Gering Merchants Association.  It will be held on Saturday, June 9 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Gering’s Legion Park.
