Gering's 125th Birthday is March 7, 2012. Gering's 125th Birthday Committee is planning a year-long celebration of events; the Kick-off event is at the Gering Civic Center from 5-8 pm on March 7th. Activities include a traditional German-Russian meal, musical entertainment, historical charactger portrayals, souvenir merchandise sales and birthday cake. Admission is $1.25 per person.
